When Mark Casper was hired as agency director of St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities (SECC) in New Albany in 2008, he had no “grand plan.” “I never planned, ‘Let’s buy up a block, or let’s take on domestic violence, or let’s start an affordable supportive housing program,” says Casper. But under his leadership, the social services agency accomplished those expansions—and so much more.
