Criterion staff report

On Oct. 4, Respect Life Sunday for the Church in the U.S., members of parishes throughout central and southern Indiana participated in Life Chain events, gathering for an hour or more in public places, holding signs with pro-life messages and praying for an end to abortion.

Additionally, 48 members of Knights of Columbus councils in central Indiana held an overnight prayer vigil from 6 p.m. on Oct. 2 through 6 a.m. on Oct. 3 in front of the Planned Parenthood facility in Indianapolis as part of the fall 40 Days for Life prayer campaign.
