Reader: Columnist rightly criticizes antics of parents on the internet

Just a note to thank OSV News columnist Elizabeth Scalia (“It is Good”) for her commentary in the Sept. 18 issue of The Criterion on the antics of parents who torment their infants in videos on the internet.

I, too, am appalled at family members who guffaw at sweet babies who are rudely startled, obviously need a nap, or who repeat vulgar language modeled by so-called “adults.” … It is neither cherishing or nurturing.
