Share what Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen meant to you, how he helped shape your faith

Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen will be beatified during a Mass on Sept. 24 in St. Louis. This American media missionary, who died in 1979, shaped the hearts and minds of people within and far beyond the Church through his radio broadcasts, his popular “Life Is Worth Living” weekly TV show in the 1950s, other speaking engagements and multiple books and articles.

Archbishop Sheen also promoted missionary work around the world through his leadership for 16 years as the national director of the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of the Faith.

The Criterion would like to know what Archbishop Sheen meant to you and how he may have influenced your life of faith. Readers young and old are invited to reply, since Archbishop Sheen’s message and ministry have become known in recent decades through re-broadcasts of his TV shows and their availablity online.
